35 Inspirational Self-Care Quotes For Moms + Why Is It So Important?

As moms, we are constantly serving our family. When we fail to make self-care a priority, we can become tired, resentful, and moody. Has self-care been placed too far down your to-do list?

I compiled 35 self-care quotes for moms from inspirational people who knew the importance of self-care.

I hope you find them powerful and motivating to help you prioritize self-care so that you can have all the energy and positivity you need to bring out your very best. But first, I am going to explain what self-care is, share some examples of self-care activities that work for me, and why it is so important for moms to practice self-care.

What is Self-Care?

Self-care is when you take time for activities that will benefit your emotional, physical, and mental wellbeing. When you take time to practice a self-care activity, it should leave you calmer, more present, and in an overall better mood.

What Are Some Examples Of Self-Care Activities?

Getting a pedicure, massage, or treating yourself to a hot bubble bath are a few examples of common self-care ideas. However, they can be impractical for busy moms to implement regularly. And even though one self-care routine might work for one person, it doesn’t mean it will work for you.

Mindfulness meditations, nature walks, and listening to music are my favorite self-care activities that leave me refreshed and in a better mood.

It is important to look deeper into the realm of self-care and discover what is right for you, how much you need, and when you need to implement it to get the best results for you. If you want a more comprehensive list of self-care ideas, be sure to check out 63 self-care ideas for stressed moms.

Why is Self-Care So Important For Moms?

Our jobs as moms require serving others. If we do it long enough without taking time for self-care…. we pay. And when we pay, everyone around us pays. That’s why it is important to take time for ourselves to replenish.

Implementing self-care regularly can keep your stress levels lower and you will be happier and kinder to yourself and those around you when problems arise.
